Have you ever seen a woman walk in her purpose so well that her very presence and level of confidence demanded the room or audience? She appears to be sure of herself, what she's talking about, and who she is!
This type of woman typically stands out and flourishes in the lane that was created for her. But what exactly is it that makes her so confident?
As women of God, our source of confidence comes from the Lord! Period. However, we will talk more about that a little more in-depth later.
Like any positive trait, from someone you admire there are certain habits that you can utilize to take your confidence level to the next level.
Are you in need of a confidence boost because confidence is key? I've got you covered below!
1.)She is confident in her identity in Christ
Okay, Ladies, this is a big one! Knowing who you are in the Lord as a Christian confident woman is your foundation. When you know who you are, it leaves no room for confusion to come in as to who you are or even who you're not.
When you don't know who you truly are there is a level of uncertainty that exists within you leaving room for the enemy to play upon cause all types of confusion.
But the good news is the word of God is the answer! His word tells us who we are in him.
2.) She knows her assignment
An assignment is " a task or piece of work assigned to someone". The confident woman knows her "why". She knows why she's in the room and what goal she came to accomplish.
3.) She embraces her uniqueness
"God can't bless who you pretend to be or who you compare yourself to, He can only bless you in the lane that was created for you!" -Sarah Jakes
Spending your time trying to be like someone else because they appear to be successful and confident only drains your confidence because you're not able to release the God-given uniqueness within you to those assigned to you.
4.) She is not afraid of failure
Stepping out of your comfort zone and taking risks is apart of evolving. You cant determine if you can walk on water if you stay inside the boat. While this is much easier said than done, a confident woman is not afraid to fail and get back up to try again.
Don't allow the fear of failure to hold you back from your destiny!
5.) She embraces change
We live in a world where things are constantly changing from the way we communicate, to embracing technology and so much more. While change can at times be difficult we have to learn to roll with the flow or get left behind. change + growth is not so bad after all!
6.) Fear does not have the final say
Fear at some point will attempt to creep up on you and steal the call of God on your life by stunting you with a lack of confidence. Rather it's from insecurities, confusion, anxiety, etc the enemy will attempt to stop you. BUT your trust and confidence in Christ must have the final say over your emotions.
You don't have to try to overcome these negative emotions alone. God is waiting for you to trust him over your fear!
1 Timothy 1:7 "For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control."
7.) She is lead by God
A Godly confident woman is not leading her life in her own strength. She is lead by the power of the holy spirit. We may not always know what decisions to make or which way to turn next but we can always depend on the wisdom of the holy spirit to lead and guide up down the right path.
Psalm 119:105 "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."
8.) She is willing to learn
A confident woman is not afraid to learn and take on new opportunities. She embraces the challange to grow and expand her skills.
9.) She is comfortable saying "No"
Saying No can be really challenging but at times it's very necessary to avoid burnout. While burnout will not always be the reason why you may need to say no getting into the habit of being honest and being okay with that is a great habit to practice.
This habit may come easy for some and harder for others but I highly recommend it.
10.) She understands everything will not be perfect
The final habit on this list that confident women have is the understanding that they are not perfect nor everything will not be perfect.
This can be a challange for all my perfectionists out there!!! HAHA but that's okay because the key is knowing that you can be confident in knowing you don't need to be perfect.
Queen, take the pressure off yourself and you are worth celebrating right where you are!
God will meet you there!
I pray the list above helps to guides you into adopting some new habits that can apply to push you into being the confident woman you are crowned chosen to be! You certainly do not need to have every habit on this list to be great but applying what you might just do the trick.
Comment below on what habits you believe a confident woman has? I would love to hear from you!
